Sensory-stimulating multifunctional pillow
Protac SensCircle® is a sensory-stimulating multifunctional cushion that creates a sense of security, no matter whether the user is lying down or in a sitting position. The balls in the cushion stimulate the sense of touch and the muscle-joint-sense through deep pressures, promoting an improved body awareness.
The multifunctional cushion can be used as a tool to create a sense of security, allowing the user to rest in bed, on the floor and in a variety of settings such as sensory rooms, in psychiatric and somatic hospitals.
Protac SensCircle® alleviates mental and physical unrest and sharpens concentration. The multifunctional pillow is suitable for both children and adults, and benefits people with anxiety, ADHD, autism, psychiatric disorders, brain damage, dementia, and developmental disorders.
The nine joints of the multifunctional pillow make it flexible and malleable, and its length makes it possible to wrap yourself up and shield yourself from the outside world.

Specialized therapists use Protac SensCircle® as an aid to motor-skill training. It can, for example, be included in an obstacle course, where balance and coordination skills are challenged., or in a prone position when training the muscles of the neck.
Design and sizes
Protac SensCircle® is 250 cm long and is sewn in an easy-to-clean material. The outer sections contain granulate, which are soft, and the middle section contains 5 cm balls. It is possible to swap the sections if you want a different composition. The multifunctional pillow is available in a variety of colors.

52-year-old man with brain damage
A 52-year-old man has basal damage at the brain stem level. He needs peace and quiet when he rests and to feel the boundaries of his body. He has paralysis of his legs and arms and has reduced sensation. The man uses the Protac SensCircle® pillow several times a day to rest. Protac SensCircle® gives him immediate peace of mind when he is positioned with it. He also falls asleep quickly and has experienced less spasticity for several days. He finds it nice to feel demarcated around his head and back, and the staff finds that he is calmer and more collected after resting with Protac SensCircle®.
26-year-old woman with head trauma
Protac SensCircle® is placed around the woman when she needs to rest or sleep, to delimit the room. It is used daily for approx. 1 hour at all rest, as well as at night. The motor restlessness is reduced, and it has given the patient an increased sense of security to have her " proximal space" shielded.

WASHING AND MAINTENANCE
Cleaning
Both the cover of Protac SensCircle® and the cover for the individual inside modules can be washed at 40 degrees. The frequency of washing depends on the use of the pillow. When washing, please follow the instructions on the care label.
- The cover can be washed in a washing machine with a min. capacity of 7 kg
- The modules with balls can be washed individually in the laundry bag in a washing machine with a min. capacity of 16 kg
- Protac does not recommend using stain remover or detergent with bleach or perfume
- The cover can also be wiped off with disinfection-wipes or a damp cloth
