Protac SenSit® Nature
Sensory-stimulating chair in waterproof materials
Protac SenSit® Nature is made of durable, waterproof and windproof material and has taped seams and zippers. This means that the chair is adapted to the Danish weather conditions characterized by frequent shifts between wind, rain, and sunshine, and that it does not have to be carried in and out every day. The chair comes with a rain cover so that the user’s back does not get wet if it has rained at night.
Nature does something incredibly special for our senses. It provides both joy, peace, and energy at the same time, and it has been well documented that outdoor rehabilitation strengthens the physical, mental, and social competencies. Spending time in nature adds an extra dimension to the sensory experience. The wind in your face, scent of flowers and trees, clouds and birds that pass overhead - and last, but not least the fresh air.
The Nature model can also be used indoors and is particularly relevant where there are strict hygienic requirements or for users who have problems with incontinence. In addition to being cleanable using a spray-cleaner, this model can also be cleaned with e.g., in a shower. The chair's inner bag is made of incontinence cover material, and water can therefore not penetrate the chair.
Like the Protac SenSit®, the Nature model contains 5 cm balls in the back and in the upper layer of the seat. The bottom is filled with granulate, which makes the chair malleable to the individual user’s proportions. The user can advantageously form a recess in the back of the seat before sitting down, for optimal seating comfort.

Children group with socio-emotional challenges
The children quickly established a cozy space around the Protac SenSit® chair, which was explored and tried out with curiosity by all the children. They found it comfortable to sit in either alone or with their best friend. Even the most restless children calmed down in the chair and enjoyed being cuddled with its wings around them. The chair allowed them to have a gathering place and a steady, safe, base outdoors.

After 45 minutes she gets up, goes indoors and is both happy and at ease for the rest of the day. Since then, she has independently sought out and used the ball chair many times with the same positive result.

WASHING AND MAINTENANCE
Cleaning
The cover for Protac SenSit® Nature can be washed. The need and frequency of washing depend on the use of the chair. Follow the instructions below when washing and cleaning the chair.· The cover can be washed in a washing machine, min. 7 kg, using a detergent without bleach and perfume. See the washing instructions inside the cover.
· The seat cover can be unzipped and washed separately using a detergent without bleach and perfume. See the washing instructions inside the cover.
· The ball bags in the neck and side wings can be washed in a washing machine, min.7kg, using the supplied washing bags. Use detergent without bleach and perfume. See the washing instructions inside the wings.
Before using any stain removers, do a test on a non-visible area (bottom of chair) to make sure that it does not damage or change the colour of the fabric. Protac does not recommend the use of stain removers.
· Do not wash the inner bag with balls and granulate
· Do not wash the inner bag in the neck rest
Maintenance
Over time a recess will form in the seat as the granulate at the bottom ‘settle’ through use. It is therefore important to turn the chair upside down once in a while and shake it a little to allow the balls to become evenly distributed again. This will restore the shape of the seat. Inspect the chair for defects and deficiencies prior to each use, and inspect the chair’s seams, zips, fabric, straps, balls and general condition once a year. If serious defects or deficiencies are discovered, the Protac SenSit® Nature must not be used until the defects have been repaired and safety has been restored.The Protac SenSit® Nature can be wiped with a well-wrung cloth soaked in warm soapy water. Can be wiped off with alcohol.
· Protac SenSit® Nature does not tolerate temperatures below 0 degrees
· After heavy rain, turn the chair upside down and wipe the bottom with a dry cloth
· If the chair is placed directly in the sun, the included rain cover can be pulled over the chair, to protect it from the sun’s rays when the chair is not in use. The fabric will fade, but it is postponed if the chair is protected with the raincover when not in use Protac accepts no liability for damages resulting from incorrect washing and maintenance.
